Create Products

In this guide we will go over how to activate products, configure product types, and create a product.

Let's start by activating the Products add-on. Click on Add-Ons.

Next click on Available Add-Ons.

Then find Products, then click activate.

After activating the products add-on, click on Products under content to create a new product.

Click the Product Types button.

Select Create Type.

For this example I am using Sunglasses as my Product Type. I am just going to use the default fields, this includes, Name, Description, and Image. After you have distinguished your Product Type, click save.

This step is where you make the product:

  1. Click Product.
  2. Select the Product Type you've created.
  3. Next is the Product Name (Mine is the style of sunglasses called Dragon Eyes.)
  4. Product Description (For this example I am using 2010 Eye Wear.)
  5. Than select a Product Image.

This next step is for adding options to your product such as color or size. If you do not want to add options to your product you can skip this step and just press Save. Click on your product type name to add properties.

Under the products elements tab you will see the option Drop-down List, Simply click and drag the element to the right.

  1. This step I would like to add a color option to the sunglasses for users to fill out when they order the glasses.
  2. Description
  3. This is for your different options, use commas to separate the different options. (Ex. Red,Blue,Green)
  4. When you are finished click Save Product Type.
